The GovOwl story began in California in 2011 as Inspect2Go. We started with a simple mobile app for food inspections, and agencies asked for more. That first tool grew into a complete solution for entire environmental health departments, and its core capabilities naturally carried into other programs. Departments began pulling us in to modernize their workflows, and the platform expanded across divisions into a broader local-government system. Along the way we earned nationwide references, a 99 percent annual retention rate, and steady year-over-year growth. The name GovOwl reflects that evolution and a mission that grew beyond our early beginnings.
